Information for Applicants

In order to complete an application for a marijuana research license, please fill out each of the following documents.

3. Signature Page

Complete the fields on the above pdf documents, and save each document with a file name containing your marijuana research license number and the title of the document.  

For example:

• “License_111111_ Cover_Page”
• “License_111111_ Application_Form”
• “License_111111_ Signature_Page”

IMPORTANT:

All documents must meet the following formatting requirements and contain the required attachments necessary for application review.  Failure to comply will result in the withdrawal of your application.

Formatting:

• 8 ½ by 11-inch portrait-oriented page dimensions
• Single-spaced with all margins measuring at least one inch
• At least 12-point font in Times New Roman or Arial, not proportionately reduced
• Legible PDF format with attachments appropriately named (see example above)

Application Checklist 

• Cover Page Form: Provided to applicants by Dynamite Ag, Inc.
• Marijuana Research License Application Form: Provided to applicants by Dynamite Ag, Inc
• Signature Page Form: Provided to applicants by Dynamite Ag, Inc
• Research Plan: A research plan prepared by the applicant, limited to four pages that includes the following information:

1. Purpose and goal(s) of the proposed research project(s)
2. Key milestones and timelines for the research project(s)
3. Background and preliminary studies
4. Amount of marijuana to be grown, if applicable, including the justification with respect to milestone
   tasks
5. Anticipated cost of the proposed research project(s) and funding available for the work
6. Key personnel and organizations, including names and roles
7. Facilities, equipment, and other resources required and available for conducting the proposed research project(s).

• Biosketches: Biosketches for each individual involved in executing the proposed research project must be prepared using the form adapted from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) biographical sketch format, available here.
• Letters of Support: Letters of Support if external personnel or organizations will participate in research activities under an approved research project.
• IRB and/or IACUC Letters: IRB or IACUC letters as required.

Scoring:

Applications will be scored according to this rubric, and must receive a score of at least 90% to be approved.  

Application Review Fees and Submission:

Applicants will be charged an initial administrative fee of $500.00 for initial marijuana research license application processing.  This fee will be due in full prior to performing our administrative review.  The scientific review process will then be billed at $300/hr with an additional fee if a site visit is deemed necessary.  Upon completing the review, the applicant will be billed for the remainder of applicable charges.  Payment will be due before Dynamite Ag, Inc. submits the decision to the LCB. The maximum application fee will not exceed $5,350. 

Licensees who require an annual renewal review, will be charged $1,500.00 per review.  

After completing your Cover Page, Application, and Signature Page, submit each saved file along with all the required supporting documentation described above as attachments to a single email and send to: curt@DynamiteAg.com
 

Expect an email confirmation that we have received your application within 5 business days of receipt of your application materials.  You will then be invoiced for the administrative review portion of our fee.

If your application is missing required documentation or information, or is improperly formatted, you will be contacted so that your application may be supplemented and/or corrected.
 

Once passing our administrative review, you will be invoiced for the scientific review panel portion of our fee. Upon payment your application will be forwarded to our panel review process. A final recommendation regarding license should be forwarded to the WSLCB within 45 days of receipt of your payment.
